Description The 5–17 Years Children and Adolescents Questionnaire of the Nepal Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (NMICS) 2024 collects information on the health, education, well-being, development, and living conditions of children and adolescents aged 5–17 years. The questionnaire is administered to the mother or primary caregiver of eligible children and, where appropriate, directly to adolescents. It includes information on school attendance, educational attainment, functional difficulties, child labour, child discipline, mental health and psychosocial well-being, learning environment, digital access, parental involvement, and other indicators relevant to the monitoring of children's rights and development under national and international frameworks, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Abstract The 5–17 Years Children and Adolescents Questionnaire was developed as part of the Nepal Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (NMICS) 2024 to collect nationally representative data on the well-being and development of school-aged children and adolescents. The questionnaire provides information on education, functional difficulties, child labour, protection, psychosocial health, family environment, and other aspects of child and adolescent welfare. The data support the estimation of key indicators for monitoring national development priorities and international commitments related to children's rights and the Sustainable Development Goals. The questionnaire follows standard MICS7 methodology with country-specific adaptations for Nepal.

Description The Household Member Listing (HL) Questionnaire of the Nepal Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (NMICS) 2024 collects basic demographic and social information on all usual members of the household and visitors who stayed in the household the night before the survey. The questionnaire provides the household roster and includes information on age, sex, relationship to the household head, marital status, education, disability status, migration characteristics, and other demographic characteristics. The HL questionnaire serves as the basis for identifying eligible respondents for the Women's, Men's, Under-Five, and Children and Adolescents questionnaires and provides essential information for the calculation of household and population-level indicators.
Abstract The Household Member Listing Questionnaire was designed to collect comprehensive demographic information on all members of selected households participating in the Nepal Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (NMICS) 2024. The questionnaire establishes the household roster and provides key demographic and socioeconomic information used to identify eligible respondents for subsequent survey modules. Data collected through the HL questionnaire support the production of population statistics and the estimation of indicators related to age, sex, education, disability, and household composition. The questionnaire follows standard MICS7 methodology and serves as the foundation for linking household and individual-level datasets.
