This is the report on the results of Census of Manufacturing Establishment 2006-2007 at national level. It has 4 parts which are not categorized as parts. The first part is the introduction of the census. Summary results of the census is the second part. The third part contains general tables. These tables are summarized by Nepal Standard Industrial Classification (NSIC) which is a Nepali version of International Standard Industrial Classification 1998, rev-3. There are altogether 23 types of tables, each of which are presented in accordance with NSIC at 4-digit level except the last one. The last table is about the problems faced by manufacturing establishments during the reference period. The problems are recorded as the priority given by the establishments and ranking of such problems is given in the table. This part contains national level tables only.
Principal indicators of manufacturing establishment are presented in the first six tables for different charactistics. The principal indicators comprise here 10 kinds of indicators including number of establishments, number of persons engaged, number of paid employees, wages and salaries, value of stocks at the end of the year, gross addition of fixed assets during the year, gross fixed assets at the end of the year, value of output, value of input and value added are defined as principal indicators. The principal indicator tables of Nepal and Urban/Rural are given in the first two tables. Then principal indicators by legal status, ownership, number of persons engaged, and size of fixed assets are presented in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth tables.
Tables 7, 8 and 9 are related to employment and emolument. Value of Output and Value of Input is computed in table 10 and table 13 respectively. Value of shipments and cost of raw materials purchased is tabulated in tables 11 and 14 respectively by Central Product Classification (CPC) code at 4-digit level. while receipts from and cost of non industrial services are given in table 12 and table 17 respectively but no separate tables are presented for receitps form and cost of industrial services because such data are included in the table 10 and 13 of value of output and value of input respectively.
Annual cost of fuel purchased and quantity by type of fuel is given in the table 15, and table 16 deals with electricity generation and purchase. Value of fixed assets at the beginning of the year, addition of fixed assets during the year and value of fixed assets at the end of the year is given in the table 18. Table 19 gives value of stocks at the beginning and end of the reference period and table 20 gives summarized indirect tax paid amount by NSIC. Utilization of Production Capacity is recorded in table 21 and investment for pollution control equipment and environment protection effort is described in table 22. |
