There are two columns in this question. In the first column, write the total amount which\na respondent earned last week in cash from his\/her main work. The amount should be given\ngross, that is before any deductions are made by the employer (for tax, social security,\npension, etc.).\nIn the second column, write the value of in-kind payments received within the last 7 days by\nthe worker. This should include the value of any meals that the worker was provided with by\nthe employer or other such daily in-kind payments. The worker may have received a single\nin-kind payment, for instance clothes or other such goods, at the end of his\/her work over a\nnumber of days. In this case, you have to estimate the value of the in-kind payment for the\nlast 7 days. The amount recorded in this column should not include any of the cash\npayments (per week) already reported in the first column. The value of in-kind payments is\nthe monetary value of the goods received.
