However to meet the demand of the users, CBS initiated Quarterly MPI and Quarterly MPPI since 2000\/01. The Manufacturing Production Index and the Manufacturing Producers' Price Index are compiled and released at quarterly and annual basis.  Besides, Manufacturing Production Index is also compiled for the first six month and first nine month  in each fiscal years. These indices are the 11th quarterly index in the series compiled since 2000\/01. In one hand, CBS has been compiling these indices for 44 commodities from 23 industry group since 2007\/08, one the other hand, 34 commodities from 20 industry group which was continued from 2002\/03."},"version_statement":{"version":"Version 0 - Microdata not available"},"study_info":{"abstract":"The manufacturing production and price indices include only the domestic manufacturing products. Accordingly, 23 four-digit NSIC industry groups are selected.\n\nSelection of the manufacturing establishments:\nSelection of the manufacturing establishments within the each selected four-digit NSIC industry group has been categorized in two ways. In one hand, only five largest establishments are selected with certainty that have concentration ratio 80% or more within the same industry group. On the other hand, for those having concentration ratio less than 80%, the five largest establishments with certainty as well as the other sampled establishments are selected for the sample depending upon share of concentration ratio occupied by them. The selection is based on the probability proportional to size (PPS) sampling technique.\n\nSelection of the commodities:\nThe commodities are selected within each four-digit NSIC industry group on the basis of the share to the total value of shipment as provided by manufacturing census 2006\/07.
